BP, Chevron and Shell hosted the 2007 Gulf of Mexico Joint Contractor Symposium in October at the Marriott Westchase Houston.  The Symposium brought together the operator and contractor community to focus on common issues.  This year's Symposium theme was HSE Leadership.  The target audience was upper management and safety managers from a selected list of key contractors.

The event was one and a half days as follows:

DAY ONE, Monday October 15, for Contractor HSE Managers:
Welcome lunch followed by sharing of best practices and evening networking reception.

DAY TWO, Tuesday October 16, for Operator and Contractor Management:
Full day program, including keynote speaker Mr. Sean O'Keefe, current Chancellor of the Louisiana State University and former NASA Administrator.  Mr. O'Keefe will share his expertise in safety leadership."
